The Derrick Golf and Winter Club was established in 1959 and is Edmonton's finest family club with a variety of athletic facilities, aquatics, badminton, 18-hole championship golf course, and a variety of Food and Beverage facilities. Reporting to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the oversight and of all Banquet functions related to the club, related areas, menus, events, and customer relations.
Duties and responsibilities
Assist the Banquets Manager with the overall Operations of events and functions at the Club.
Providing personal attention to clients while they are at the club to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Conducting site inspections with potential clients
Promotes and fosters a positive team environment with a strong focus on positive culture development.
Resolves issues/problems with clients and members.
Integrates within the club member base and consistently interacts with all members and garners feedback.
Stays up to date with the latest industry best practices in hospitality, catering and sales including legislative and government policy changes. Also ensures that management is kept up to date on a timely basis when updates and changes occur.
Adhere to all policies and procedures designated by the club.
Work is primarily in a busy event-based and service setting.

3 + years’ relevant working experience.
3-5 years’ management experience.
Strong knowledge of contracts, catering, and sales.
